About Us

Conserving the Heritage Temples

The temple mapping project is undertaken by Tattva Heritage Foundation, a non-profit organisation supporting scholars, artists and institutions working on critical projects relating to Indian cultural traditions. Our mission is to map and undertake preliminary documentation, both textual and pictorial, of all pre-British era temples of India. We are working with scholars and temple experts to document these temples and to make them known to the broader public. Our website offers detailed information about these temples, many of which have never been documented before. Our pilot project is currently underway in the Pune District.
